A portable compressor is not enough to provide your equipment with the high-quality, filtered air it needs to perform CO2 blasting effectively.

Compressors provide hot, wet, and oily air – while standard industrial equipment can withstand these factors, dry ice blasting equipment contains small orifices, seals, and gaskets that, if exposed to this quality of air, will rapidly deteriorate and require repair.

To mitigate this damage, we recommend that businesses use an air preparation unit to prepare compressed air for use in their CO2 blasting unit. Air preparation units use tools like heat exchangers, air separators and filters to cool the temperature and filter oil and water from the air. This air is then converted to drive the air motor for the fan and to the supply hose to perform quality blasting.
